Icing on the Cake
The wedding cake truly is an opportunity to express yourself. I could post a million images of cakes, but I tried to find a few that stood out either in cake style, topper or presentation on the table.

When you own Harleys it is only fitting to have a motorcycle topper and a road winding down your cake!
I thought this was a cute groom’s cake!

Heirloom cake toppers are great! Both above are from the grandparents. Notice the short skirt on the bride on the left and the navy groom on the other cake. Vintage never gets old. (Wow, I just made that up… nice quote)

Yes, those are chocolate butterflies and yes, they were delicious.

This 3 tier dessert tray had a chocolate table number at the top. A functional centerpiece for winter weddings when flowers could bloat your budget.

Rock candy was a great addition to the coffee bar brought out for dessert. Younger folks ate them off the stick and older folks stirred their coffee with them!

You can never go wrong with a crazy chocolate sculpture. Chocolate fountains are all the rage, but have you seen a strawberry tree?

I don’t know why I love this flower ball topper of Kermit Mums.

Silver cake stands make a cake taller and more formal.

I love this… Ruth 1:16 “…where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God.” written right on the cake!

Can you believe the bride’s aunt made this chocolate marble looking cake?? I love the real ribbon too! Speaking of chocolate cake, why not make the whole thing chocolate!

Can you believe these flowers are sugar? Incredible groom’s cake.

Cake tables can be boring or cool! I love the placement of this one under a tree with paper lanterns above which gave it a sense of space. The flowers on the right accented this cake by extending onto the table.

Let them eat… cookies? Yup – this bride did not like cake, but loved these giant ice cream cookies, so everyone had them with her!

Left: 2004 was the year of the monogrammed cake… I really could post 20+ here, but this cake matched the invitations, the favors, the menus… all very well done. Of course, the groom is a graphic designer ![]()
Right: I also love cakes with a theme… can you guess when this wedding was? January and the cake looked like snow!

Wow! This is such a great collection of photos and a wonderful way to help people plan their weddings and show off your talent.
